Bartercard USA Bankrupt

According to an announcement on the Bartercard USA website, the company declared Chapter 7 bankruptcy March 2, 2006. Chapter 7 is a liquidation of assets and Bartercard USA appears to no longer operating at this time. The bankruptcy has not been reported by any other news source, but the Bartercard USA website has the following statement:

March 2, 2006

Bartercard United States, Inc. has filed Chapter 7 in San Diego court.

Bankruptcy # 06-392. There is more information being sent via mail.
